I want to see it so much. and see those signs. something that interests me about southern hill 'english' is how old it is in comparison, people who brought it from ireland and scotland, and it was their native tongue and they held old ways of speaking and writing more. as smoothsail mentioned my... was it unusal? way... it really is common, actually. in the southern hills. not that I wouldn't mind being unique. :)

anyways... I would love to get there and see the land. my grandfather farmed hillsides, and he gathered rocks upon rocks and cut into hillsides and put up rocks to make terrouses (sp?), so he could grow crops up along them. he brought that from the old country. not himself, he was generations along, but it was passed down to him from there.

but it's way colder there than in Alabama.
