John Gibson has come out with a new book, "How the Left Swiftboated America", which discusses the Left's coordinated attempt to smear GWB -- lying, cheating, stealing, nothing is too much. I don't usually read this kind of crap but I may buy a copy just to give the author financial support for being willing to take on the Left. The reality is that the Alinsky tactics didn't just start when Obama took office; they used them throughout the Bush administration. And the result is that GWB is widely believed to be bad president, OFTEN by even people would have supported his policy had they not accepted the criticisms at face value. Historically, these kinds of lies don't hold up -- the facts tend to overwhelm the lies, and the truth comes out -- but often not until all the parties are dead.
