I want the guy (or gal) that I would follow into a foxhole. And, sorry, it just ain't Sarah.

If you are speaking of actual foxholes and not metaphorical ones, I would definitely follow Palin over 99% of the people in DC right now. While Obama, Reid and Frank would be pissing themselves, Palin would be laying down lead.

I would also follow her into a metaphorical foxhole or anywhere for that matter. She has more guts than almost any politician I can think of.

Her answers upon pointed, direct questioning by friendly (FOX) interviewers are often very empty and without real "substance". (And I'm talking about relatively basic things where she shouldn't need to consult an advisor before answering.)

While I agree with your observation, I think it stems from her native defenses. Glenn Beck explained it after she appeared on his show--the one with the Statue of Liberty over his shoulder. Something like (paraphrasing) "I've never seen anyone so guarded. It's like she has her shields up. Wouldn't you, if somebody attacked your family like that?"

He then said she would not be ready until she is capable of eviscerating somebody like himself or O'Reilly (or for that matter, idiots like Keith Overblown.

If we continue to see evasive responses, I'll start agreeing with you. Condoleeza Rice set the model when she replied to some impertinent Senator "Do not try to impugn my integrity." Or something like that.

Sarah knows what a pit bull does, and I think she'll come around after she's sure her family will be secure.

So what you're saying is that, in your opinion, Sarah Palin should not run for President. She won't get your vote.

That means you have made a decision and an assessment.

Interestingly, your rationale is that you don't consider her experience adequate.

Reading between the lines, I bet you voted for Obama<g>
