Why has the US refrained from acting as peace maker between Israel and the Palestinians by putting in its military?, that would solve the problem.

LOL!! Is it possible for you to have your tongue planted firmly in cheek at the same time you're trying to pull your foot out of your mouth?

This is an international problem. The UN, and various other member nations, are constantly meddling in the region and not holding the Palestinian "feet" to the fire with regard to embracing peace and co-existence. They have fueled the flames and encouraged obstinence by the Palestinians, and defensiveness by the Israelis.

This problem requires an international solution.

But more importantly, it requires the Palestinian Arabs to make a decision between waging "forever war" and thinking about taking care of their people through economic development and peaceful relations with their neighbors.

If the Palestinians were smart, they'd study up on Ghandi.
