Are you sure about Medicare not paying for colonsocopies performed at doctors offices?

I am sure that's the case for me. The doctor and I had a rather long discussion when I questioned having to go to the hospital and getting an EKG and he he expressed his frustration with the regulation. (I had had several EKGs in the last year and it seems silly.) Not wanting to take up any more of his time I didn't ask all the questions I would have liked. During the course of the discussion he mentioned the state a couple of times. It is not clear to me from our discussion just how much of this is the state's doing. I have been unable to find from my research anything about the state's role in Medicare so that's a total mystery. The bottom line is that I can say with pretty good assurance that what I described applies to me. Whether it applies to you or not, can't be certain.
