" FYI, I was born and raised a "poor folk" as the son of coal miner. I think I am a better person because I sought and obtained an education that eventually changed that environment entirely... So you can't teach me anything about being poor and rural.... But my life is better now and I wouldn't go back...I have little respect for people with no drive or ambition to improve themselves but I will never refuse to help them. I understand there were 10,000+ missions in Haiti before the earthquake....what did they do other than work to convert those poor ignorant people into Christians who are taught that Jesus would provide for all their needs...
