"Germany probably has ten times the regulations that we do and they still export much more than we do.."

And a larger percentage of workers are unionized, and they have universal health care and...

Well, they have a lot of the bugaboos that the Right claim would kill businesses and cause jobs to be shipped overseas. But, somehow, Germany pulls it off.

And let me add, the Germans think we're crazy....at least the winger portion of the population. They can't understand why anyone would fight against universal health care. I have to remind them that its the same middle class idiots who want the rich to get tax cuts. They just start laughing.

It is kinda funny if it was not so sad. When we visit our relatives over there they are mystified that we don't have healthcare for all of our citizens. Their small businesses have a big advantage over ours.

They don't have to worry about who pays for the healthcare.

Let alone higher education.

Yeah. They're cutting the hell out of business taxes and regulation to attract the foreign investment our country can no longer attract.

Why do you think they're doing that?
