We have what, 15K troops in the country? You'd think a couple of them could make a daily route to the medical facilities dropping off supplies.

I remember before the surge that the highway from Bagdad to the air port was not safe and virtually all Americans took helicopters for the trip. When there are no police, a run like that might have to be a convoy.

The American response in Haiti has been slow, mismanaged and incompetent. You don't hear the media beating Obama up about it,

It has not been that bad. It hasn't been textbook. Remember that Clinton cut the size of the military and President Bush never restored it, only calling up reserves.
