if the government tries to regulate or legislate these press outlets (rather than just having the most extreme libs talk about it with no action), I expect the Supreme Court would slap it down hard. Even the liberals on the court would find it hard to claim that freedom of the press didn't apply here.

Sotomayor and Ginsberg? They might have a difficult time for now gaining a majority but they would love to make a list of which liberal media are the press and which non partisan media is not the press.

Give Obama a little Clinton luck and the sudden convenient death of a couple of constructionists would give him the ability to load the court with fruitcases.
