Slarty I did notice that Hawk did not answer your question about the pre-emptive strike on Egypt. His manual does not allow a response. I'm watching further posts to see how he dodges the bullet. hahaha

I'm not putting them down for that! You just can't agree that they did launch a preemptive strike on Egypt. Your manual seems to forbid that thought.

Uh.. where did I ever lead you to believe that I was saying anything different?

The issue was Jordan, and why the Israelis were NOT THE AGGRESSORS with regard to their occupation of the West Bank.

The entire point of the discussion was whether nations were entitled to retain the territory gained through via conflict with another nation.

There is little doubt, IMO, that were the Israelis to lose a war and Arabs to occupy parts of Israel proper, very few members of the world community would demand an Arab withdrawal and return of territory seized during such a war.

So it's all just a double standard. Any nation can get away with attacking Israel and the UN will do nothing (as they did nothing in Lebanon in 2006).

But, by god, let the Israelis get fed up and retaliate against the constant rocket attacks, or threatening rhetoric towards them, and the world community is all too ready to condemn them.

Little wonder Israelis don't trust anyone to be an advocate for their interests.
