Coffins say hold for projects and financing

Adikann Goldfields Ltd
ADKShares issued 151618301997-10-14 close $0.1
Tuesday Oct 14 1997

In the October 15 edition of the Hard Rock Analyst, Eric and David Coffin update their April '97 $0.35 buy of Adikann Goldfields Ltd with a recommendation to hold (at $0.10) for projects and financing. Originally covered at $0.85, the Coffins had suggested that
if the stock ever traded above $1.50 it should be sold. It never traded that high. In July they said there was no use selling the stock at $0.14, and that it would be a good idea to hold or average down. Waiting continues for results from underground sampling at the Dompoasi area on the Westbank concession in Ghana. Adikann still has working capital but the Coffins say the company needs news on the project side or new projects altogether. In this issue the Coffins introduce a couple of new categories - Hold For Financing or Joint Venture (HF) which means a cash strapped company that is undervalued relative to its property holdings; and Hold For Project (HP) which idicates a company that is cashed up but looking for a new project. They attribute both of these categories to Adikann and say that it may see some tax loss selling this November. (c)
