Dear Freeus:

I am not really familiar with the tenents of your movement, and I can only tell you about what Christ has meant to me.

Roman's Chap 8 vs 1-2

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit;
for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

When Cain slew Able, Cain was only punished by banquishment to another land, and not by death, because the law had not yet been given; so it is LAW that is the condemming agent. A judge may like you as a person but sentence you to 15 years because it is the LAW, and you transgressed the law; you have given him no other alternative.

I love generous people and surely you are one....may the good Lord who knows our hearts bless you abundantly and accordingly to the righteousness we have in Christ..................gregor

<Tithing is interesting: I of course dont give money to any church since I have not found any that suits me>

Tithing deals with giving to God. To me that does not necessarily mean giving to a Church. I have found certain charities to be good candidates. e.g. Campus Crusade For Christ. I see this as money well spent as it goes to the expanding of the kingdom.

freeus - I assume you get your "free" subscription to IMPRIMUS
the Journal from Hillsdale College. I've been getting it for
years now, and have saved every copy.

If you do, I'd be interested in your favorite issues. One that
comes to mind is "I Pencil" or something like that, I'll look
up some others.

For others, this is a journal of great ideas, from a unique
college;

I joined my church recently (in my 50's), thought I'd have to learn
to be a pacifist, and become superstitious to boot. I actually have
many complaints about my church, but I can't wait to find the one
that's tailored for me.

Actually many of my problems were mis-conceptions, and after
study and self scrutiny, my differences are narrowing. It's a journey.

Many problems attributed to capitalism, free markets, etc.
are problems of human nature, and I believe the scriptures are the handbook for understanding human nature.

I feel like I've found a friend.

Dear, dear Freeus. What a wonderful name. I myself am to the
right of Attila the Hun, and will stay there. So, it's a pain for many
people to cope with, but not for me. Just am. As for Liberterians, I looked into it and found it to be almost a catch-all for atheists primarily. Was I wrong? I just didn't feel comfortable with the non-spiritual
aspect someone told me about it. Again, I listened only, didn't look.
Usually try to find out for myself.

But most of all, please, please do tell what you don't agree with
that the Lord said. There is so much to Him that our surface
impressions are often wrong, but the WORD is never wrong.
I believe it is more pleasing to our Lord that you doubt what you
have "heard" or "think" about what He said, than absorbing like
a sponge and absorbing error as gospel truth.
