I just reread NYC's post. You're correct, I misinterpreted his use of the term capitulation . However, the main point of my previous post is unchanged: we didn't have a great day point wise; we didn't even close on the day's high; but all told, we didn't so so poorly.

jess...there are several who may benefit
from your explanation; i saw rsc making
a good point beyond his questionable use
of capitulation. of course, it is a metaphor
for the market saying "i give up", at which
point, the market has no more interest in
flexing its muscle...after capitulation, there
is no sport.

the market has satisfaction.

and we may go on our way (up)...
