Ira Player,

Perhaps if your name was Ima Investor, the term "no brainer" would be more readily apparent. e.g. When a company is selling for less than book, less than 1*Sales, a P/E less than 5, has a ROE > 20%, has more than 50% of that equity in cash, has an expected long term growth rate exceeding 30%, has a historical 5 year growth rate exceeding 50%, has leading edge products which must be purchased by chipmakers, doesn't have competitors for most of its products; then most investors with a horizon longer than next Tuesday will call it a "no brainer". Especially when all of its ratios are near or have set all time lows.

That was the case for many of the Semi Equipments near June 96. To decide to buy them this week, one must be at least a "half-wit". To buy them once they approach their highs for the above ratios takes a truly Wise person who is extraordinarily competent at reading charts.

To each his own.

Good luck,

Others here prefer a more sure thing,
Ian.
