Obama's notion of "working together in a spirit of bipartisanship" was not correct to begin with. It is very likely that his notion was more idealist in nature. Additionally, he misjudged the degree of negativity of the opposition. Not sure why he believed on having "Bush holdovers". That's not change. And having folks like Geithner on the team was also a disastrous decision. And the quintessential partisan Rahm as COS!!

So far, Obama has served the needs of the inner city and Wall Street. It is about time he "fights for Main Street". He needs to sweep aside all those buddies around him and demonstrate his leadership instead. He needs to acknowledge that power speaks through the barrel of the people and not groups like union leaders, Wall Street reps etc. If he said he would have CSPAN at the health care talks, then he should have had them there no matter how strong the opposition.

This is very a country which is in the middle. And the results of the recent elections and an examination of the political philosophies of the winning candidates corroborates that.
