What was "ignorant" about my question?

Hillary, for all practical purposes, was the incumbent in the 2008 Democratic primary. She had the money, she had the political connections, and yes, she had corporate support.

Yet here comes this freshman senator with little experience other than "community organization" and oratory skills. He is arguably more left-wing than Hillary and therefore more anti-corporation. How did he eventually shift the tide of the primary if big corporations supposedly had as much power as Koan argued they had?
