even the slickest politician cannot repeal the laws of human nature an economics. What is obvious to you and to me and to most people who gave these things some thought and do not mechanically subscribe to "ruling" economic models - is not at all clear to too many American politicians. They do have a vested interest, unfortunately, in believing in any crap - for as long as it makes them more important and relevant... and offers an excuse to collect ever more money from Peter to give Paul.
