I do like the strategy. Select a limited number of low fruit type of reform proposal (five is okay or whatever).

Pass each one separately.

There is nothing wrong with each of the five proposals in the article. At least it is a positive step forward.


Perhaps, then, if these proposals are attractive, the Democratic-controlled Congress might take one or two of them, and package into a new bill. I suspect they would get more than enough Republican support to see them passed. And they could be a small step towards fulfilling Obama's pledge to reform health care.

Plaudits to you for approving such an approach. As you say, it would be a positive step forward.
