Main implications are that smaller corporations will have more chance to be heard. General Electric and Exxon already have ways around any restrictions, now a corporation the size of say Panera Bread or Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream (before they sold out) or T. Boone Pickens will have more voice.

Agree with most of what you wrote on the historical background of corporations.

Most people don't know this - are you a lawyer ?

One other problem / benefit with corporations is they can be almost immortal, which is necessary for many things society needs.

The original case that started this case was a clear violation of the first amendment, with the FEC shutting down the distribution of a movie about Hillary Clinton.
