One of the points mentioned today about the bank exec bonuses et al is that they, those execs, have bought and paid for Boards of Directors and now we have unlimited spending allowed by these ("persons") corporations to totally buy and pay for their Congresses.

And where are those right wing, freedom loving "individuals"??... Per usual, they have their heads up their...defending extremist BS.

"Whatever reasons they had to fear or not to fear corporations"

They had plenty of reasons. The various trading companies ran rough shod over the colonials. The mistake was later, when corporations were granted full rights as a person.

And, in that context the decision was a correct one. But that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it.

"except as regard to regulating corporations"

That isn't totally correct. They are treated differently than real people. Monopolies for example. Which is why the fiction of treating them as artificial people is so wrong. The metaphor has to be stretched all out of shape to get it to work.
