So.. what the appropriate level of debt that any household, or individual should be permitted to carry?

Because isn't all this complaining we're hearing about debt levels really about "EXCESSIVE DEBT"??

If it is, then it's important to postulate where that threshold lies.

And then we have to look at the role that "excessive unemployment" plays in spurring "excessive debt default". Was there "Excessive Employment" and we're just reverting to the mean in that area as well as we all in bringing down debt levels?

It's apparent, now, that you don't believe in wiping out all debt. But I would ask you to give us a SWAG as to what level we should reduce the current debt load?
