Since the corporations run the government anyway, how are the corporate contributions going to be limited to the amount given by an individual?

I have no clue about the potential for actual implementation of what I suggested in my little thought experiment. I was just riffing on the notion that, if a corporation is a person, then what if it were constrained like a person. An indulgence of curiosity that, as it turns out, would have been best stifled.

Since the corporations run the government anyway...

How easily we concede that situation yet fret about the inability of campaign finance reform to eliminate one of its symptoms. It would be nice if we could address the problem directly rather than wallow around ineffectually trying to mitigate the symptoms.
