I'd love to hear some of your stories about the Fur Trade Routes that you explored.

I just read a treatment of David Douglas, a naturalist who explored the Pacific NW during the fur trade. Also, another history of the discover of the Oregon Trail.

These early explorers were fantastic for their attention to detail under very difficult circumstances.
