I think you need a stronger counter than that to not seem disingenuous given that Steve doesn't have $500,000.

So if there's a way to rationalize that discrepancy, I'd be very interested.

I believe you are wrong here. You might be able to take out a full page issue ad - but not one that supports an individual candidate.

As to the Sierra Club. I think you are right and that republicans are going to rue the day of this ruling. The special interest groups and the unions will have more power along with corporations. BUT and a big "but" is that corporations will be hesitant to piss off a portion of America who doesn't agree with their ads. Shareholders revolt!
