Sarmaniac is too irrational and extreme. He must be a CIA plant trying to attract jihadists to the cause. The CIA staff selection programmes are not too good, so getting people who look the part is hard work. Because they misunderstand the opponents, and hold them in contempt and don't see them correctly, viewing them instead through their own reality distortion field lenses, they constantly get things wrong.

For example they really did think that Saddam had WMDs. I was ranting upstream here [pretty sure it was this stream] that there were no or negligible WMDs and WMDs were no reason to attack and conquer Iraq. Amazing to me that everyone fell for "WMD's ready to launch over London with nuclear clouds over New York". More amazing that they really seemed to think it true themselves.

Now that Iran actually is developing actual atomic bombs and intends to use them and says they intend to use them while saying their nuclear developments are for peaceful purposes only to generate electricity in a country with vast hydrocarbon reserves which they'll ship to power stations in India at enormous expense across hostile territory ... the most absurd serious of illogical ideas yet people believe them. Simply amazing.

So where's the invasion and conquest of Iran? Come on, let's go. The tanks and soldiers are already on both sides of Iran [Iraq and Afghanistan for the geographically challenged] and Turkey is part of NATO. The WMDs will be ready to launch soon. Or ship, via container ship, wrapped in opium, with a nod and a wink from a bribed USA customs officer who figures he might as well get paid since the stuff comes in anyway and his cousin sells it downtown Washington to the politicos so nobody really cares.

Sarmaniac is trying to catch those jihadists. But let's face it if you were a jihadist, would you want such a person inside your team? He needs to be more subtle. Now that I've rumbled him, he needs to keep his cover intact or he'll lose his annual bonus. He'll hope I'll stop ruining it.
