That may have something to do with the fact that corporations have been legally proscribed from running such ads until now. The Court's decision this past week ends that proscription. ==== The law the SCOTUS struck down was enacted in 2002 ... so "until now" means the period between enactment in 2002 and January 21, 2010. Can't lose sight of the fact that they struck down a specific law ... the court decides only the issue that is in front of it ... looking at pre-2002 politics and 2002-2010 politics, I can't see all that much of a difference.
