Sonki, Dell normally does 2/1 splits which I am expecting on the 24th.

However, Dell has 1 billion shares authorized. If Dell gets to 333.33 million outstanding then there is a "possibility" of a 3/1 split.

Per this link:http://www.pcquote.com/cgi-bin/getquote.dll?ticker=dell

Dell has 336 million outstanding. I don't know how old this info is.

If Dell does buyback 3 million and a 3/1 is possible.

Sonki,

I have not heard that rumor. I think a 2:1 stock split is more likely.
There have been many rumors about DELL lately. However, there has been little in the way of facts to support these rumors. I believe a lot of this is just bear talk.

I see no discernible reason why DELL can not meet and even exceed their numbers. Nothing has changed fundamentally except a flattening of growth in Souteast Asia.

This latest correction appears to largely be a technical correction accentuated by excess fear and greed. Longer term, we need to keep an eye on the possibility of some deflation. DELL has only 6% of its business in SEA.

What are Lucy's new estimates?
