Also, when the world's equity markets take their cue from Hong Kong, we know valuations must be purely speculative. And, the HK market is sure to fall much more:
1. 50% of their stock market is tied to real estate.
2. The supply of land to be made available for developing RE is being increased by the new government.
3. The demand for RE is diminished due to the ease with which businesses can move to mainland China.
4. Interest rates must be kept high if they wish to defend their currency.
