A unequivocal backing of a balanced budget amendment by a major party is much bigger news.

Also "about zero" doesn't really describe the reporting of Republican proposals, I've seen the reporting on the news (and not just from Fox.

OTOH things like "sparse", "low key" "brief", and sometimes "dismissive" or "negative" would apply to the reporting.

Don't you generally have to get a bit more then two or three other Congressmen to actually *sign onto* supporting your bill, before you can say it amounts to more then self-serving fluff, or self promotion?

I mean... if a bill has no chance at all of being enacted into law (because even YOUR OWN fellow Party members won't support it) then why the heck should anyone pay attention to the thing?
