May get a market test a lot sooner than Dec. Traders were VERY surprised at today's (yesterday's) 200+ Dow move. You may see some serious profit taking in the next day or two due to their skepticism.

Duane, I think that this is a very tough market to gauge. As it is, it's impossible to know at the end of one trading day whether the Dow will open the next day up 100 points or down 100 points. This day-to-day unpredictability is eventually going to wear on investors, and they might pull out to wait until things calm down a bit. There is still money to be made, but there is an awful lot of churning going on.

On the day of the mini-crash, I closed out all of my short positions and bought lots of stock. I have since then sold a little stock and reestablished a healthy short position as insurance against a possible downturn.

My prediction for CTEC between now and Dec 31: a trading range between 13 and 15. The new CTEC options have me nervous about (more) volitility and (more) speculation.
