remember, history tells us when a politician promises something, they traditionally rarely deliver on their promises. they may limit spending in selective areas which do not benefit politicians or "friends", but always seem to have money for any worthy "must have" pork project.

remember the code of the politician, "tell them anything, promise them anything", we can't help anyone if we are not elected, so get elected first and worry about the public later.

most voters have very limited memories of what has been promised, and by whom.
