I attribute that to the weather and lack of sunshine.

All you Scandinavians need to supplement vitamin D. Use the 2000IU gel caps. At least 6000IU a day.

You and I are at about the same latitude so I understand what you say very viscerally. Though we will get quite a few sunny days in the winter and lots of snow. I try never to wear sunglasses in the winter.

I recommend the use of very bright full spectrum (5000K) light bulbs. Nowadays, you can get halogen bulbs that are not expensive and use little electricity, but give light like a 250 Watt bulb. It can make a real difference if you suffer from seasonal depression.

Sounds like Seattle. I can fully sympathize with you. Same thing happens here. I'm going to look into Nadine's suggestion. Anything! Anything!

The Danes I met in Greenland years ago had an amazing capacity for alcohol. Used to order their drinks by the tray, 24 screwdrivers (or whatever) at a time. I guess it saved getting up. I was just a kid, was in trouble after 4, and wasn't there long enough to be sure my memory is accurate. And maybe Greenland (not much else to do) brought that out or attracted heavy drinkers. No fights though, fighting was a ticket back to Denmark, bye bye cheap stereo equipment at the exchange. The younger guys smoked a lot of hash/tobacco mix.
