Lets use a little logic for crying out loud. California did not have troubles until Raygun started cutting educationa and mental health programs and tehn prop 13. When you cut tax revenues by 57% something has to give and it was education and health programs, among other things. Raygun didn't care abotu people!

I saw Raygun RUTHLESSLY throw the mentally ill out on the side walks (first homeless people)as he closed down mental institutions.

The mentally ill are ill!, and a civilized society takes care of them!!

A little excessive-lol? Very excessive!! That one sentence shows your bias. You are downplaying the damage of prop 13. What that shows is you are not being objective.

Do you really want to go throguh life fooling yourself about reality? You don't strike me as that type of person. The primary satisfaction in life is embracing reality to the best of our aiblity.

>>Koan, I think the 2/3 majority rule is a little excessive.

I also said before that I think Prop. 13 should be phased out.

Having said that, though, I also say this. Prop. 13 isn't the cause of California's problems. My reasoning is simple. Repeal Prop. 13, repeal the 2/3 majority rule, and you'll end up with an even bigger mess.
