Perhaps, but unfortunately B.F. Skinner doesn't know his head from his hindquarters. However, Zebra, I agree with you. I will not respond to said pathetic personality in the future.

Now we are on my turf. You can ignore behavior, but keep in mind the phenomenon of "post extinciton bursting". The problem behavior will briefly incrase in frequency and intensity when the reinforcer (in this case atteniton) is removed. Yes, it will extinguish if you hold the course. BUt if the target behavior intensifies to the point that you can't ignore it (like the autistic child who takes a can opener to their head when you try to extinguish them), its time for cattle prods and Haldol...in that order.

Oh! I've made a threat of cattle prods! Better call the FBI to pre-empt you know who.
