I think the real problem there is human interference with the timeless natural process of freshwater flow and silt deposition, resulting in saltwater intrusion and land subsidence. Such things are happening in coastal river deltas all over the world, like the New Orleans area in the Mississippi Delta. Climate change may be a bit player, but not the main culprit.
