Hello everyone, new to the thread. Also new to DBS, just purchased my DISH system. The top 40 and top 50 packages are BY FAR the best deals in the business. I have no doubts that echostar will see 1,000,000 with great marketing campaigns, etc. A few concerns a few of you on the thread might address: 1. Does DISH not sell through 3rd party distributers? Have seen no coverage of DISH in radioshack, circuit city stores, etc. This may be a big mistake seeing the definite side by side advantage these systems have in bang for the buck. 2. How much does DISH make off its programming packages. Subscribers are great, but if the company doesn't have the margins they mean nothing. Those new sats can't be cheap. 3. I only see one pay-per-view top event channel. On DirectTV/ USSB there are many (with WWF reruns, Ultimate fighting challenge X-XXXXX, etc.) It seems these channels could really be the profit cows. Is that what Echostar III is all about? Good luck to all in this erratic market. Any comments in the above would be appreciated. John Thrall
