Ted, > Why not? I'd rather be a liberal than a lying, thieving R.

Maybe they're too afraid of the implications of being called a liberal in a traditionally right-of-center nation.

Liberals also pride themselves in their supposed intellect and ability to think for themselves. Dogma is the enemy of intellectualism, so they have to convince themselves that they don't suffer from it, even though they still do.

We're not talking dogma nor intellectualism. We are talking about out and out greed. And lets drop the pretense......you're most likely one of the people who voted for the tax rollbacks in OR. Well the people in OR finally got smart......they know where the money is and they are going for it. Of course, CA is still screwed....the wingers were smart there.....they require a 2/3 approval. Not that it really matters....in the end, CA is going down. The feds will probably have to make it a protectorate.

As for right of center, I don't think that will be true for much longer. Americans keep waking up a little more each day.

Long live populism!
