The banking system was absolutely on the brink of collapse. Caused by an unregulated Wall street and especially goldman Sachs. But Obama could ahve put better conditions on the money after he got into office. Instead he brougth in people form Wall street who just kept giving wall street free money and did nothign for main sreet.

He did put better conditions on the money. Why do you think the banks are so anxious to pay the TARP money back?

Instead of bringing in Krugman and stiglitz and Volker to clean it up ,Obama brings in an entire slew of the people who caused it. Summers, Geithner, Geithner's chief of staff, and they have doen nothing but protect wall street so far.

Actually, Geithner has been pretty effective. Its his efforts along with Bernanke that kept the economic meltdown from getting worse. Krugman is a journalist.....how many papers would he sell if he said everything was copacetic day after day? Not many....I promise you. Stop listening to every a-hole out there and listen to your president. He knows best.
