You have a lot more faith in the engineers than I do. They could have reformed the system after the '87 crash, they didn't. They could have reformed the system after the '00 crash, they made it worse. The '08 crash was the biggest yet and it seems to me they are again making the problem bigger. Our political system does not motivate long term reform, it motivates making the problem bigger. We are doomed. Only doom will motivate reform :)
