Mish the demographics are changing and also the rate of immigration etc.,is reversing (most academics in the US that are from India and China etc., are going back to their own country where jobs are available and standard of living IS HIGHER for them)

Therefore adjustment should be made to the 400K level - I do not have enough data to correctly predict what the level would be.

BTW this new immigration development will hurt the US economy down the road - once the talented and brightest where coming to the US to work and stay - now they are leaving - the rate of immigration was like 500K to 1 million each year

NUTSHELL

From the report,

there are 5,350,477 workers on emergency benefits,
and another 4,669,250 workers on regular benefits.

Thus 10 million people are out of a job who want to work,

and that does not count the

number of people who have exhausted regular and emergency benefits.
