It's not just volume that is preventing the use of AMD/CYRX micro-Ps on any major notebook project.

Thermally, these chips aren't able to cope with a notebook infrastructure unless there are customers out there that consider making their breakfeast eggs on their laptop as a product feature.

If you compare the intel notebook micro-P solution is TAB (tape-automated bonding), basically a thin piece of film onto which the circuit is transposed while the CYRX/AMD chips both are still PGA (at least to my knowledge).

The PGA Pentium equivalent micro-Ps will need a big heatsink and a solid ventilation system (desktop fan) which cannot be achieved in a notebook chassis without compromising longevity and potentially performance.

In notebooks intel will win hands down anytime... That is one of their fundamental strengths.
