Re: "NOT deficit spending" isn't going to happen any time soon. No kidding!!!!!!! That is EXACTLY WHY I BELIEVE we must start the ponderous (and no doubt time-consuming) process of kick-starting the approval process for a Balanced Budget Amendment to our Constitution. Because by the time it could possibly come into effect, we will need it EVEN MORE. (SAme goes for all the decades to come!) Re: "The Republican effort that you criticized was a small effort" WHAT 'Republican effort'? (And, it's going to take a whole lot MORE then 'small' to get the job done!)
