<BTW, this is the 1st thread I've posted on where I didn't get a lot of crap when I posted that I was selling. <g>>

You will hear that when you tell us that you are shorting. That will bring up hot debates.....just kidding...... haha

Actually, I would like to know when to sell short gold stocks when people are getting too bullish or turning into bearish. Just like we got to learn how to drive car with reverse gears when it stuck at an awkward position. <G>

gold10K/vt that was a great post. After 10 years I will say I have made a TON of money but left most of it on the table because of the fear of selling. I feel dumb riding things down but hey we need to be kind to each other and ourselves too I guess so maybe I am not totally dumb as I am in the game. <g/ng>

I have to force myself to do what you say and try to pick some sort of top to sell into in the future. The channel XAU or HUI you provided me will need to serve me as a rudimentary guide.

No fear of that from me I am too busy giving myself crap for not selling. <NG>

There are few occasions where I have regretted selling overbought but many more where I have regretted not doing so. It got so fixed in my mind that we were going to 1300 or so before a pullback that I forgot to watch what the market was actually doing. That said, my largest position (ckg.v) has been holding up very well through the current downturn so that is some consolation but probably only serves to reinforce bad habits!
