Folks who think corporations should be treated as people are barking mad in my book. Completely agree. It's an argument that is only ideological in the worst sense, or grubby greedy in the sense that "our side needs more money." I think a constitutional amendment would go a long way toward restoring democracy in this country. No way this can happen without enormous public outrage. And, at least at the moment, there's hardly a peep, save among some insiders like ourselves. The path to a constitutional amendment is almost impossible. And I would say impossible save for the dim outside chance of the public outrage factor. Of which there is no evidence at the moment.
