Just imagine all the other stuff that DOESN'T get "leaked" out...

And regardless of whether you think it's "patriotic", it's illegal.

But even more of an issue, it just undermined the US Ambassador to Afghanistan in his dealings with the current President, Karzai. His comments were quite derogatory towards Karzai. Deserved or not, it has humiliated the Afghan President and given him diplomatic leverage since now our Ambassador will be required at the very least, to apologize, and possibly resign.

Your "patriotism" may have just cost the US the ability to actually carry out out Ambassador's recommendations (some of which I actually agree with).
