Trufflette and GW and GM,

thanks for your imput re:asnd.

Does anyone have a view as to how the sparq announcement will play on IOM tommorrow. I too took advantage of todays rise to unload some trading shares...I'm looking for a possible dip and and at least a 2 1/2 dollar price swing for trading purposes...

I still don't understand how the sparq will ship an order in 3 to 4 days from today (per McColy (sp?) and not have the major retailers set to take orders.

My guess is that this announcement will be the center piece of Syqt's plea for more shares. It's uncanny how the announcement's are very Iomega flavored.

PS. do they really have to announce every day to day operating activities three or four times?

Fred

Truff, regarding Nov 25s

Truff,

I have (had) 36 of them going into today, and dumped 15 @ $4.125. Owning these options at this price really isn't much better than holding the stock. The market maker's bid only reflects a premium of $.30 . I was getting so pissed with it, I dumped the 15 just to lock in some profit. However, as the stock goes down, it goes down $1 for $1. Go figure.

What this is telling me is that an awful lot of people are writing covered calls on their Iomega stock. If there was more demand than supply, the premium would be more.

This is a good sign to me (just as it has proved the last 2 options expirations where the price went up a couple bucks each time on the last day).

Methinks this will be another one like the past two.

Minus any external market shock, I bet you a nickel that Iomega ends this options cycle somewhere between $27.50 and $29.

I am not looking at November 30s. I think that's not a good bet. However, should the stock get hammered in a market downturn, I will pounce on the Feb 25s @ $3 or so. If there's a healthy year end rally, and with any well timed announcement of 15 MM zips by Iomega, the premium on these will go through the roof.

Any comments?

P.S. Am I the poorest one on this thread? (Kindof embarrassed I'm telling you I only have 36 calls, but that's life)
