Brokers, specially rookie brokers, are looking for ways to make an income. With the on line services available that we all enjoy and also yell at from time to time it must really be a rough way to make a living at it. Relationships have been eroded by cheaper ways of doing business.
It goes without saying that we have been visited by brokers that have barely got their licenses and are having a tough time squeaking out a living after all the work they do. It is sad but is the sign of the future that actually is the present.
Bottom line is we should really pity their situation and wish them a better way of making a living.

Dave,

Certainly you really don't believe that do you? Reputable firms will provide answers to the best of their legal ability. That doesn't mean you can't continue to demand explanations if you're unsatisfied. Go to his boss, and to his boss. You'll get your answer.

And before you impugn the whole street based on your experience with one person, perhaps you should look at whatever industry you're in and decide if the worst employee should be used as the yardstick to measure YOUR worth to the general public.

Sorry to hear about your broker. What firm was it, and what was the offense?
