They are indeed irrational considering that they find no common ground on any social issue that the White House puts forward. I even noticed that they are very convoluted in their thinking in that they cannot even ask a straight forward question. And that retort by Barack when he interrupted the questioner from Texas and quipped "Look, I know there is a question somewhere out there and I hope I will have the time left to answer it.....". That was a golden retort in oratory.
