When I read all of the negativity about ASND, I have to remind myself that we are talking about a company that is anticipating about a 46% annual increase in sales (10% per quarter, translates to 46% annual) and that, in a horrible, horrible, quarter, earned (yes earned, not lost) 20 cents/share. Oh yes, and a company that has top market share in certain networking segments and that is a highly likely acquisition target. Gary, My concern is not revenue growth. If we leave the aquisition out and go with fundamentals only, the street will value ASND on earnings growth. The Reuters story had almost no information on earnings growth. The story taken as it was given really does not give the analysts a model from which to work. I suspect that may be planned if an aquisition is in place. Everyone is still guessing about earnings. No kidding. And to think we are being treated as bad as Bay was, when it was $15! Bay had been losing money for a year, and despite finally eeking out a profit last Q, they will finish 1997 at over $1 loss in eps. Now there's a company I thought was in the dumps for good. If Bay can turn around, the hell if ASND can't!
