Black Swan,

I have now finished reading George Freidman's "The Next Hundred Years". It seems quite fanciful. He thinks oil will flow well into the mid-century mark. This will not be the case. He thinks that by the end of the century, Turkey, Poland and Mexico will be great regional powers!! But, I do agree with him that China will not last too long. There are just too many problems on the horizon. BTW, I lived in Canada in the early 60's at the height of Joey Smallwood as a regional player in Canadian politics, Bennnett of Social Credit in BC and Douglas in Saskatchewan.
